Rules
IC

✧One✧
Neutral Ground — All are welcome within the venue, regardless of origin, nature, affiliation, or alignment. Leave old grudges at the door.
✧Two✧
Keep the Peace — Violence, threats, and deliberately disruptive magic will not be tolerated. Take your quarrels elsewhere.
✧Three✧
Ask Before You Touch — Downstairs, some merchandise is delicate, magical, poisonous, cursed, carnivorous, or simply temperamental. If you are uncertain, ask. The library upstairs is perfectly safe!
✧Four✧
Drink Responsibly — Know your limits. Our staff reserve the right to refuse further service.
✧Five✧
Respect the Cards — The tarot nook is available for readings and quiet divination. Please do not disturb an ongoing session.
✧Six✧
The Garden Bites Back — Do not eat, harvest, lick, antagonize, or otherwise interfere with the plants unless explicitly invited to do so.
✧Seven✧
The Shadows Churn — Should you get too rowdy, start a fight, or break rules, you may find yourself thrown out by the shadows themselves. Please be respectful of your fellows, the staff and the wares, and the shadows will welcome you as their own for the duration of your stay.
✧Eight✧
Watch Your Head — There are some low-hanging items and somewhat close quarters in some parts of the venue, so if you are too far above max Roegadyn height, you may struggle to see or bonk your head.
✧Nine✧
Kindly Leave Fluffy Friends Outside — The venue has limited space, the upstairs serves food, and the downstairs is full of expensive, breakable merchandise. Please be courteous to everyone and unsummon pets, summons and minions before entering the venue. There is a lovely garden outside for them to play in.If you bring them inside anyway, we may ask you to leave, after asking you to pay for any damages.
✧Ten✧
The space behind the counters upstairs and downstairs are off-limits to customers for both their safety, and the safety of the merchandise.Kindly do not wander behind them -manned or otherwise- unless specifically asked to do so by a staff member. Doing so otherwise will earn a stern rebuke.
OOC

✧One✧
Be Respectful — Treat fellow players and staff with kindness. Bigotry, harassment, trolling, and intentionally disruptive behavior are not welcome. We do ask that you and your OC are at least 18+, and look it.We are an LGBTQ+ friendly and owned venue. No homophobia, biphobia, or transphobia will be tolerated. This includes the use of language such as fg, fta, f+, etc.
✧Two✧
IC ≠ OOC — Character actions, opinions, relationships, and conflicts do not necessarily reflect those of the players behind them. Please keep IC and OOC separate.
✧Three✧
Staff Have Final Say — Venue staff reserve the right to ask anyone causing problems IC or OOC to drop a subject or leave.
✧Four✧
Keep Public RP Appropriate — Mature themes may arise, but explicit sexual RP should be taken elsewhere.
✧Five✧
Lore Flexibility — Lore-compliant and lore-bending characters are welcome. We ask only that players extend the same courtesy to interpretations different from their own.
✧Six✧
Safe for Work Venue — While we don't care if you show some thigh or some cleavage, we do ask that you cover the important bits appropriately! There are other and better places for such, and we may even point you in their direction.
✧Seven✧
Brevity — You may get macro'd or short responses to save time to keep things moving when things are busy. Scroll can be egregious even with things like Snooper to mitigate. Please be aware of that when ordering, and keep your orders reasonable.
✧Eight✧
Veil of Illusions — We do have it, and you are welcome to use it. This does not mean you can be rude to those who do not, and should be respectful of their decisions not to do so, or not to pair with you. That being said, don't talk about Fight Club in the venue.
✧Nine✧
No AI — No AI of any sort in the venue or the Discord, period. No AI posts, no edits, no advocating for it, nothing. You will be booted. We want to interact with YOU and your creativity - NOT a computer!
✶⋆.˚ Staff ˚.⋆✶

Sab'vrae Baen'mtor
Sab'vrae is a Gelmorran witch (among other things) and one of the proprietors of The Gloaming Garden. He has only been above a couple turns following exile from his enclave in the depths of the buried city. Exceptionally talented in and knowledgeable of many esoteric and forbidden magicks, he is willing to share it (for a price and copious amounts of warning).Outwardly 'spooky' or off-putting to some, he's much kinder and friendlier than he appears, and is often seen as a mentor to others, giving advice and instruction to those who ask. Those who enter his spaces tend to immediately feel at ease.Known as 'The Architect' in some circles, and 'The Weaver' in others.
Vesryn Advaris
Vesryn is, among many things, a practiced healer and botanist, and one of the proprietors of The Gloaming Garden. His work has carried him across Eorzea and beyond, bringing home no shortage of stories and unusual specimens along the way. From teas and tinctures to medicinal herbs and peculiar plants, he has a particular fondness for anything that grows.Warm, open-minded, and endlessly curious, Vesryn tends to meet the strange and unfamiliar with curiosity rather than judgment. Notoriously difficult to keep from helping, he's always happy to offer a remedy, lend an ear, or simply put the kettle on.Offers tarot and healing services.

O'vin Tia
O'vin immigrated over to Eorzea from Dalmasca after the fall of the Garlean Empire. He is a Bozjan war veteran trying to find meaning without constant conflict, and to learn to trust people and let them in closer. A friend and trusted confidant suggested that he try working to get him to open up more, and it has had some unusual results.
Hawthorne Haxan
Hawthorne was once the feline familiar of a witch, however, after an accident with a spell gone awry, he has been turned into a Mi'qote. Now he's learning about how to be a human and with that comes how to make money. What better way to learn about humanity than to take a job and try his hand at customer service?

Vanorin Dufay
He probably dunnit. Can't prove it. Just be quiet and let him serve you.Former Ishgardian investigator now helping around the shop. Might be willing to pick up some private eye work on the side if you ask.
Elio
Djt-stellas
After a ritual turned the world dark, Elio sought to experience as much of the world as he could in a new way. He’s learned how to use aether in less than conventional ways, always with his guardian close by. Along the way, he developed a fondness for healing and divination, and loves to share the introspection the cards can offer.Offers oracle readings for those interested.

✶⋆.˚ Shop˚.⋆✶
All produce, flowers, and herbs and botanicals are grown fresh in Sab'vrae and Vesryn's gardens, and there may be more available that isn't listed or seasonal. What isn't grown, supplied, or made by us is ethically sourced from local artisans, practitioners and suppliers. We would be glad to answer your questions and help you find what you need for all of your endeavors!(Some items may be more generally listed so you can find what your OC needs if they're looking for something specific that is not otherwise noted.)
Garden

✶⋆.˚ Curios˚.⋆✶
Whether you're just starting your journey, or a long-time practitioner, we have everything you need to get started, or stay supplied. If desired, we also offer tarot readings, one need only ask Vesryn if he is available!
